A Poem a Day #4 Captured

Emah Purple

You have ravaged my heart.

Then you went through all the clutter,

Organizing every part.

You see me as I am.

Then you make me even better.

That I was when it began.

Had been searching for you.

I was lost but then you found me.

It’s an old love, now renewed.

I’m captured by your love.

Such a freeing heart-encounter.

I can see the chains dissolve.
