Poetry: Ringleader

Ring around the rosie

Captain twirls his followers

On the tips of her manipulative fingers.

She is what he needs to be.

And if it will get her what she wants.

She will put up the front.

She is drunk with the power.

To make the hoarde follow her.

Slick snake slithering on the pink grass

Pleasant, Pretty, Prancing Pretentious.

She lures them like a siren

Singing ‘Do as I do

She does the dance.

Leading the pack, hands on waist

Barreling along blindly.

Shaking hips to her commands

as they dance their way into a chasm

Where the will all fall

Right after she steps away.
